Local Unit & Position DescriptionDNV Product Assurance is seeking to fill the role of Product Specialist - Hazardous Location Equipment (Ex) Assessor/AuditorThis role will act as Senior technical resource for service delivery, competence development, mentoring of Ex personnel, sales technical development and support, and project technical support. - -What You'll Do

  • Planning and performing assessment tasks, such as testing/inspections related to manufacture of hazardous location equipment according to relevant standards and codes.
  • Planning, implementing, and managing Quality Management System audits in accordance IEC 60079-34
  • Technical support developing certification cost proposals for Ex customers
  • Primary technical coordination as project manager between clients and DNV for assigned projects.
  • Assist scheduler with assignment of own Ex projects, with defined goals related to Ex Services.
  • Conduct assessments in accordance DMS procedures and Ex Scheme requirements.Position QualificationsWhat is Required
    • Bachelor degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field. -
    • 5 years relevant experience with product testing, manufacturing, design, or regulatory compliance
    • Specific knowledge in knowledge Ex product standards, in particular IEC 60079 series, and their application under related -IECEx, ATEX and UKCA certification schemes.
    • Experienced with manufacturing environments related to hazardous location
    • Travel approx 60-75% of the time. -What is Preferred -
