As a Tax Manager, you will help support our growth, identify and seize new business opportunities and help lead the tax team. We provide an exceptional opportunity to develop professionally through exposure to strategic tax planning and compliance, deal structure consultations, and business advisory services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in partnership, S-corporation, C-corporation, trust, exempt entities and individual taxation.Position Description:Advise clients on a full spectrum of corporate and individual tax services, including planning, research, compliance, and general mergers and acquisitions activitiesAssist with new business development, extended service and tax issue recognition for existing clientsDevelop, motivate, and train staff level team membersManage corporate and individual client needs with respect to tax services and federal and state tax complianceDevelop and sustain strong client relationshipsKeep up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax lawWorks with the tax team to oversee and review tax returnsProvides timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectationsHandles routine client tax questions, and works with Staff and Seniors to make sure necessary information for tax return completion and complianceStays informed about Firm capabilities other than tax compliance area, and promotes these activities to clients when appropriateCompletes research and special projects as neededHelp develop Senior and Staff accountants both technically and professionally through their careerBasic Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Accounting or related fieldMinimum of 5-12 years of recent experience in Public Accounting with an emphasis in taxationExperience with S Corporations and PartnershipsExperience with FAS109/ASC740Understanding of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and complianceCPA licenseAbility to work closely with clients to answer questions or to collect necessary information for tax service requirementsPreferred Qualifications:Effective verbal and written communication skills, as well as good computer skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyExperience with a 20-50 person or large regional accounting firm is a plusMasters of Taxation preferred, but not requiredBase Salary: $150,000 - $170,000
