Job Description:
Duties: Maintain and own applications that support the business
per service level agreements; direct and perform scheduled and emergency changes to applications per change
control procedures; perform middleware maintenance to support application availability requirements; develop and
support new and existing middleware environments through life cycle, including acquisition and decommissioning;
perform configurations for high availability and disaster recovery for critical business applications; enhance and
strengthen advanced features to support application clusters, application load balancing, and application health check
monitoring; mentor administrators and developers working with Middleware software to ensure consistency in procedures to
provide a stable and secure environment; collaborate with Network, Database and Security teams to resolve
issues; ensure application compliance according to our application best practices and ensure application adherence
for either cloud developed or on premise applications; work closely with the Linux, AIX and Windows
System Administrators configuring and tuning both applications and operating systems to maintain application
performance according to established SLAs; participate in disaster recovery tests; ensure high availability of all
in-scope applications as well as automated disaster recovery
site failover is achieved and tested. Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering,
Information Systems, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus two years of
experience administering, installing, configuring, and maintaining Java/J2EE applications on WebLogic, WebSphere,
JBoss, and Tomcat systems or, alternatively, a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Systems, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and five years of experience as indicated
above. Also requires Demonstrated Expertise (DE): implementing SOA suite and OSB applications in WebLogic server
and Oracle database; implementing JBoss application Server administration, and performing migration of
Java/J2EE applications from WebSphere/WebLogic to JBoss; performing WebSphere Server Administration to host
Complex enterprise applications, and monitoring and troubleshooting Java/J2EE applications; performing Webserver
Administration to configure virtual hosts to proxy requests on IBM http server, Apache webserver and Oracle Http
server and JBoss Webserver; performing Linux administration and Unix shell scripting for the automation of
routine system administration tasks including deployments and configurations; and deploying, monitoring, and
configuring middleware software for high availability and disaster recovery. STG is willing to accept a suitable
