Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in
Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. An opportunity is available for two full-time Special
Education Teachers for the 2025-2026 school year at an elementary
school located in Hartford, CT. These contract positions focus on
serving 5th and 6th grade students within the special education
setting. Teachers will work Monday through Friday, averaging
between 32 to 37.5 hours per week. Key Responsibilities: Develop
and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to
meet the unique needs of students with disabilities. Provide
specialized instruction to 5th or 6th grade students in a classroom
setting. Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and
related service providers to support student success. Track student
progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Maintain
compliance with federal and state special education regulations.
Qualifications: Current special education teaching certification is
required. Previous experience working in a school setting as a
special education teacher. Strong knowledge of special education
instructional strategies and best practices. Excellent
communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage diverse
learning needs within the classroom. Location: Hartford,
Connecticut (Elementary School) Duration: Contract position from
October 2025 through June 2026 Schedule: Full-time, Monday through
