About the Opportunity About CAMD: The College of Arts, Media and
Design (CAMD) is a collaborative community within the university
that acts as a catalyst for research, inspiration, and discovery.
It brings together a unique combination of disciplines, including
Architecture, ArtDesign, Communication Studies, Journalism, Media
and Screen Studies, Music, and Theatre. CAMD is also home to three
interdisciplinary research centers: the Center for the Arts, the
Center for Design, and the Center for Transformative Media. About
the Opportunity: The School of Architecture in the College of Arts,
Media and Design invites applications for a full-time non-tenure
track Teaching Professor position in Architectural Professional
Practice and Real Estate at the rank of Assistant or Associate.
This position will include teaching professional practice lectures
and seminars, urban and real estate development seminars, and
related design studios at both the undergraduate and graduate
levels. Some of these courses can contribute to our newly developed
Architecture and Business combined major. We seek an innovative
colleague eager to contribute to courses rooted in real-world
applications to prepare our students for staying current with
industry trends and prepare them for diverse roles in the design
and construction of the built environment. This position will be
fully located on the Boston campus of Northeastern University.
Responsibilities: This position will entail teaching two or three
courses per fall and spring semesters (4-6 courses per academic
year) at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Rank as an
associate teaching professor will be assessed in consideration of
the candidate’s previous teaching experience and creative practice
and/or research experience. In addition to teaching, all full-time
faculty are expected to contribute to the cultural life and
function of the school through service commitments on committees,
special projects, and student advising and engagement activities.
These service roles are determined based on alignments with the
candidate’s past experiences and profiles in teaching and creative
practice. Qualified candidates must be prepared to work with global
student populations. Qualifications: Ideal candidates would hold at
minimum a terminal professional degree in architecture (M.Arch) and
be a licensed architect. Applicants with a Master of Business
Administration degree (MBA) and prior teaching experience in
architectural professional practice and real estate are strongly
encouraged to apply. Candidates at the Associate level of Teaching
Professor must have at least five years of academic or equivalent

Professor: $67,000.00 - $90,000.00 | Associate Teaching Professor:
$74,000.00 - $99,000.00 With the pay range(s) shown above, the
starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include
your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and
skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees
