Job Description:

The Lead Application Support Engineer consults with internal business groups to provide high-level application software/infrastructure technical support. The incumbent provides comprehensive senior-level technical consulting to IT management, senior technical staffs and business management. The Lead Application Support Engineer is a key member of the team and is responsible for enterprise applications, system reliability, and security. The goal is for the technical leader in this position to improve the reliability and availability of key systems and interfaces in the Commercial Bank. This will be achieved by implementing, administering, and delivering enterprise application solutions and reviewing the existing landscape for key issues and opportunities that can be addressed to improve the overall customer experience. In addition, s/he evaluates compliance with the organization''s technology standards and works with internal business groups on implementation opportunities, challenges, and requirements of various applications. Responsibility Statements: Serves as a key technical resource for the supportability and reliability of the Commercial Banking systems. Quickly troubleshoots issues raised using limited information and coordinate with technical experts across teams to drive to quick and effective solution. Applies deep understanding of the technology stack to assist in determining RCA and solutions to prevent future event coordinating with vendors and internal technology teams as needed. Working with Information security both internally and with key vendors, ensures that systems patches and certifications maintained proactively to prevent data Develops and implements new automations for core business processes that help digitize manual processes, automated alerts and recover actions Leverages DevOps techniques and practices like Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Test Automation, Build Automation and Test-Driven Development to enable the rapid delivery of working code utilizing tools like Jenkins, Maven, Git and Docker Performs unit tests and conducting reviews with other team members to make sure your code is rigorously designed, elegantly coded, and effectively tuned for performance Responsible for researching and testing solutions to application technical issues, including using scripting methods to optimize and automate where possible Supports and manages the SCCM, batch cycles, certificate management, network impact and interface deployment Qualifications: Bachelor''s Degree in computer science engineering or an equivalent discipline or equivalent work experience 9-12 years'' experience in software support, including such activities as: Assessing change for impact to existing application and infrastructure Planning changes Validating changes Improving the overall landscape of support of core applications to determine resiliency, availability, security and automation improvements Experience with such tools as MuleSoft, Control-M, Splunk, Informatica or other interface or monitoring software preferred Experience with network and security technologies such as routing, switching, load balancing, whitelisting, IAMs, SSO (SAML), OAuth, IDS, CASB, OTP, and proxy Experience with data analytics on system usage, performance, and incidents Skills and Abilities: Extensive hands-on experience solving business problems with software Solid project management and organizational skills Teaches others and is open to learning Understanding of the challenges of working with distributed and multi-threaded systems along with experience monitoring those systems and troubleshooting problems Very good understanding of enterprise architecture patterns Knowledge and experience working with ACI''s UOB Platform Knowledge and experience working in Commercial Banking At Santander, we value and respect differences in our workforce and strive to increase the diversity of our teams.
