Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Position Summary: Apply Lean
Manufacturing principles, Safran group and company standards, and
technical knowledge in the support of aerospace composite parts
manufacturing. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential
Functions) Designs, redesigns, or enhances work areas and work
stations according to Safran standards and Lean principles. Perform
detailed simulations of Work In Progress (WIP) flows and/or
production line workflow, using Safran software modeling tools, in
support of optimal implementation decision-making. Execute, coach,
and perform change management relative to structured improvement
projects. Support Value Stream Manager (VSM) with designs for WIP
handling and storage, and design and/or measurement of other VSM
parameters mandated by Safran. Identifies and assesses various
problems and departures from established manufacturing standards
and best practices; researches and recommends solutions. Maintains
and applies knowledge of best practices in manufacturing methods,
and trends and developments in technology and equipment. Implements
methods and modifications to reduce production costs. Monitor 5S
within the company as well Innovation and standards. Sustain and
improve existing operational excellence programs. Other duties as
required. Job Specifications Bachelor's Degree required;
engineering/engineering technology discipline preferred.
Substantial experience with industrial design in an aerospace or
automotive context. Mechanical or electromechanical aptitudes an
asset. Six Sigma and/or Lean certification an asset. Excellent oral
and written communication skills. Strong capability with Microsoft
Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required; Power BI and
AutoCAD an asset. Travel no more than 10 percent. Working
Conditions Bachelor's Degree required; engineering/engineering
technology discipline preferred. Substantial experience with
