precision and excellence. Position Summary This role is responsible
for programming, setting up, and operating ProtoTRAK CNC/manual
milling machines and lathes to manufacture custom plastic
components. This role requires strong knowledge of machining
processes for various plastic materials and a commitment to
precision, quality, and safety in every production run. What You
Will Do - Program and operate ProtoTRAK milling machines and lathes
to produce plastic components per technical drawings and job
specifications. - Select appropriate tooling and machine settings
based on plastic material properties and job requirements. -
Perform first-piece inspections and monitor production to ensure
compliance with specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.
- Adjust feeds, speeds, and tooling to achieve optimal surface
finish and dimensional accuracy for materials such as acrylic, PVC,
and polycarbonate. - Conduct routine preventive maintenance
including cleaning and lubrication to ensure optimal machine
performance. - Maintain accurate documentation of production runs,
tooling changes, and machine maintenance. - Collaborate with
production and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and drive
continuous improvement. - Follow all safety procedures to prevent
personal injury and equipment or material damage. What You Bring
(Core Competencies) - Ability to read and interpret blueprints,
technical drawings, and GD&T symbols. - Proficiency with
precision measuring tools and inspection equipment. - Strong
attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship. -
Problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and
within a team environment. - Flexibility and adaptability in a
fast-paced, high-mix, low-volume manufacturing setting. - Strong
work ethic, dependability, and punctuality. Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED). - Minimum of 2 years of
experience operating CNC milling machines. - Ability to set up,
operate, and make minor program edits on CNC equipment. - Basic
familiarity with machining plastics and aluminum preferred. - Basic
computer skills for documentation and data entry. Preferred
Qualifications - Completion of a CNC machining certification
program or formal apprenticeship. - 5 years of CNC milling
experience, preferably in a job shop or custom manufacturing
environment. - Experience producing high-precision parts with tight
tolerances. - Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems and
manufacturing best practices. Physical & Work Environment

work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery
