leading developer of advanced space propulsion and power systems.
Our technologies support NASA, the Department of Defense, and
commercial aerospace partners. We design, build, and test
mission-critical hardware that enables groundbreaking space
exploration and defense applications. Summary: The Qualification
Engineer will play a key role in validating the performance and
reliability of Busek’s cutting-edge space propulsion and power
systems. This role is highly hands-on, combining test planning,
hardware setup, execution of environmental and functional tests,
and data analysis. The Qualification Engineer will collaborate
closely with design engineers, subject matter experts, and
cross-functional teams to ensure all systems meet rigorous customer
and industry requirements. How you will make an impact: Develop and
maintain test plans and procedures in alignment with product
requirements, customer specifications, and industry standards.
Design and validate test fixtures and support equipment, including
3D CAD modeling and creation of technical drawings. Oversee
procurement and validation of test hardware, equipment, and
materials. Lead and execute qualification and acceptance tests,
including vibration, shock, thermal vacuum, EMI/EMC, leak, and
proof tests. Perform hands-on test setup, inspections,
troubleshooting, and data collection. Analyze test results, drive
root cause investigations, and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain thorough documentation of test activities, results, and
observations. Collaborate across engineering and program teams to
ensure efficient communication and alignment. Ensure compliance
with safety requirements and cleanroom/test facility protocols.
Desired Skills: Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical
Engineering, or related field; equivalent hands-on experience will
be considered. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills,
with hands-on experience working with complex hardware. Proficiency
with SolidWorks CAD (or equivalent 3D CAD software). Excellent
attention to detail, with strong technical documentation and
organizational skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced,
cross-functional environment and manage multiple priorities.
Self-directed, proactive, adaptable, and able to work effectively
under tight deadlines. The expected salary range for this position
is $95,000 - $135,000. Actual compensation will be determined by
the candidate’s experience, education, and alignment with
