Working under the direction of the Technical Writer - Senior
Team Lead 3, will be responsible for writing online content to explain how to use sophisticated code generation
products for optimizing and automating hardware design; interacting directly with end users to discover what
they need to know to harness MathWorks technologies for solving real-world engineering problems; distilling the
intricacies of MathWorks products into examples, procedures, and conceptual topics that are easy to understand and help
customers become productive quickly; helping shape the design of MathWorks cutting-edge tools before they go out the
door; writing goal-oriented content that explains concepts and techniques for generating code from model-based
designs and MATLAB algorithms; developing examples and tutorials that demonstrate important use cases for
MathWorks code generation products; working with the user community and customer-facing groups to understand what
they need to learn to be successful with the MathWorks code generation software; participating with the
development team in product planning, design review, and testing; and helping MathWorks develop next-generation
online resources. Education and Experience: Master’s degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering or Computer Science and no experience. OR Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering or Computer Science and five (5) years of experience in job offered or five (5) years of experience
developing HDL code for deployment within hardware systems. Special Requirements: • Demonstrated expertise developing prototypes of native
floating-point operators on FPGAs; and deploying HDL code onto FPGA or ASIC hardware for acceleration. • Demonstrated expertise generating HDL code using HDL coder
software; developing HDL code for deployment within hardware systems; and verifying the functionality of HDL
code on hardware or third-party HDL simulators -- ModelSim, ALDEC Active HDL, or Riviera PRO. • Demonstrated expertise in VLSI design and hardware systems
design using Xilinx, Intel, CADENCE, or Synopsis third-party tools for performance estimation and
measurement. • Demonstrated expertise developing MATLAB and Simulink models
