We have an exciting new opportunity with one of our clients, working with biologics and cell/gene therapies! Our client has engaged us to find a Director of Bioanalytical, specifically to lead the bioassay services group. The position will serve as the subject matter expert in the development and validation of cell based assays with an emphasis on regulated Cell & Gene Therapy (CGT) and Biologics testing. In addition to providing scientific direction and guidance to the team, this person will act as a central resource to the US Bioassay services business, working closely with Site Leadership, Business Development, Marketing, and other internal departments to strengthen the sales of stand-alone and integrated CGT and Biologics cell based bioanalytical and analytical services. Essential Functions

• Managing the work activities of the bioassay team including resource planning and allocation, client communication, technical documents generation and review, mentoring staff.
• Work with other US sites and divisions to integrate CGT capabilities with the goal of increasing efficiencies and opportunities with Clients
• Represent the company at the conferences and webinars, identify and implement new scientific trends, and evaluate new methodologies which can be beneficial to the company
• Mentor and guide CGT Study Directors and m ay serve as Principal Investigator or Study Director for GxP studies.
• Work to maintain and improve quality systems. Experience
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a GxP regulated environment in the biotechnology, toxicology, pharmaceutical or related industries.
  • 8+ years representing a functional area relevant to this position, proven leadership track record, deep understanding of regulatory guidelines for assay validation, proven people management skills, strategic planning and development experience.
  • Experience with cell-based assay techniques in Biologics is essential and functional knowledge of the various analytical platforms that are used to support such assays
  • CRO experience is highly desired. Education PhD in cell biology, immunology, pharmacology, toxicology, or a relevant scientific discipline is preferred.
