What we need

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to join our Palletization PBP/PSEQ team within our Core Systems Software Engineering org. Your job will be to manage and lead palletization development efforts and deliver quality PBP/PSEQ software releases to our customer environments.

What we do

The Palletization PBP/PSEQ team is part of the Core Systems Software Engineering organization which is responsible for the design, build, scale, and maintenance of a portfolio of software platforms and services. This team works in close cross-functional collaboration with our Breakpack, Bot, Controls, Production IT, and onsite Customer Deployment and Operations teams.

What you'll do

• Coach, mentor, and lead a diverse group of software engineers, helping them to grow technically and professionally.
• Work with Senior Management and Release Management team in providing roadmap for our palletization software releases.
• Lead PSEQ algorithm/software development to support new hardware/functionalities and continuous AOB performance improvement.
• Lead RPC (robotics parameter control) algorithm/software development to support new hardware/functionalities and continuous AIB performance improvement.
• Support onsite team on issues related with robotic palletizing and robotic depalletizing/singulation applications - triage on root cause of issues and help on decisions with solution options.
• Lead on data collection/analysis/report and systems engineering effort for robotic palletizing/depalletizing applications.
• Up to 10% travel may be required.
  
  What you'll need
  
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, EE, or related field required, master's degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of professional software development experience required, including proven experience as a Principal Engineer or Manager.
  • Experience building Event-Based microservice, with Kubernetes, and Object-Oriented Programming.
  • Experience with C#, SQL Server, ElasticSearch, LogStash, Kibana (ELK), Ansible, Linux, Kubernetes, Helm, and an understanding of virtualized servers, and networking is required.
  • Extensive experience in software development using MATLAB for modelling using C.

    • Up to 10% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
    • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
