Island's Tony Award-winning theater, Trinity Rep, is looking for an
Associate Director of Individual Giving to play a key role in
advancing our mission through annual fund growth, major gifts,
legacy giving, and donor engagement.The Associate Director of
Individual Giving plays a key role in Trinity Rep's fundraising
efforts, focusing on major gifts, legacy giving, and donor
engagement. Reporting to the Director of Institutional Advancement,
this position is responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and
stewarding individual donors, with a focus on leadership annual
giving and campaign contributions. They provide strategic oversight
of the Annual Fund, support capital campaign management, and
collaborate with colleagues, leadership, trustees, and volunteers
to enhance donor relationships, expand engagement, and grow
contributed revenue. The Associate Director of Individual Giving
manages the organization's legacy giving program, and collaborates
with the development team on strategic initiatives and special
projects.The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is highly
organized, goal-driven, and skilled in relationship-building and
communication. They should be comfortable working collaboratively,
analyzing data to drive fundraising strategies, and engaging a
variety of stakeholders. Minimum requirements include five years of
professional fundraising experience (or an equivalent combination
of education and experience), a working knowledge of customer
relationship management and/or fundraising database software
(Salesforce or PatronManager preferred), and a passion for the

This position does not have direct reports, but does assist in
supervising, mentoring, and motivating the development team and
volunteer solicitors. In the Director of Institutional
Advancement's absence, this position will be deputized to provide
team leadership and make key decisions as needed.To perform this

Experience:
Five or more years of professional fundraising experience (or
equivalent combination of education and experience). Strong
administrative and organizational skills. Interest and/or
involvement in an arts related enterprise. Non-profit theater
experience and familiarity is a plus.Language Skills:
Excellent, persuasive, and diplomatic communicator with the ability
to positively interact with, effectively share information with,
and respond to questions from major donors, trustees, patrons,
managers, colleagues, and the general public in person, by
telephone, and in writing. Excellent interpersonal skills.
Comfortable delivering presentations to groups of high-profile
individuals. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret conversations
and written materials, including narratives, general business
periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures,
data-based reports, and governmental regulations. Ability to write
business correspondence, reports, plans, and documentation of
procedures.Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide figures and to
calculate percentages and discounts. Ability to understand and
apply concepts of probability. Ability to project future
giving.Reasoning Ability:
High degree of integrity and professionalism, respecting
confidential donor information and relationships. Exceptional
organizational skills and the ability to identify priorities,
develop strategies, manage multiple tasks at once, and keep track
of and meet deadlines and goals. Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to collect and interpret data and information, establish
facts, define problems, and draw reasonable conclusions. Ability to
interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form
and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Computer
Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have
knowledge of customer relationship management and/or fundraising
database software (Salesforce or Patron Manager preferred);
internet software; spreadsheet software; word processing software;
