Seeking a Registered Dietitian with long-term care, skilled nursing experience for a full-time or part-time position. The Registered Dietitian (RD) will complete required nutritional assessments and documentation according to state and federal regulations.Location: Greater Boston: Saugus, Medford areas_Responsibilities of the Registered Dietitian (RD) include but are not limited to: _ Complete nutritional assessments and documentation according to state and federal regulations. Plan and write menu cycles, ensure nutritional adequacy in menus for the patient population according to regulations, and have oversight of the serving process and the quality of food served. Keep inventories of nutritional supplements and products that are ordered through Nursing and Nutrition Services for residents with special dietary needs. Work with Nursing to provide nutritional supplements for wound care for all residents and update accordingly based on resident needs. Participate in care plan meetings on an ongoing basis. Monitor nutritional status of residents. Complete nutritional assessments and care plans. Other duties as required._Qualifications & Requirements: _ Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics. Completion of the required program and internship, and passing score on Registered Dietitian Examination by the Commission on Dietetic Registration required. Currently licensed Registered Dietitian (RD), certified in the state of employment. Experience in healthcare food service. Experience in long-term care healthcare setting, required. Serv-Safe or other similar national food safety certification, preferred. Must maintain all appropriate registrations, licensure, continuing education credits, as needed to maintain employment. Sufficient knowledge of food production and distribution, to evaluate meal quality, dining programs and texture modified diet preparation.
