Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, rotating Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work day/night rotation schedule with 36 hours per week • On-call responsibilities required • Care for medical variety of patients rather than surgical cases • Treat patients with acute or chronic illnesses including sepsis, infectious processes, acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, diabetes, GI issues, and fluid/electrolyte imbalances • Manage patients with alcohol withdrawal, liver disease, substance misuse, endocarditis, heart disease, and skin/wound issues • Provide care for acute and chronic respiratory illnesses including COPD, flu, pneumonia, and Cystic Fibrosis • Work with adult cystic fibrosis patients requiring specialized care • Manage chest tubes, various tubes, and drainage systems • Administer drips including Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, and amiodarone • Care for lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients • Handle tracheostomies and laryngectomies • Monitor telemetry patients • Provide complex wound care • Maintain central lines and perform blood draws • Work on units with 36 beds (1 East) and 25 beds (2/3 East) Facility: This medical center is a nationally recognized facility specializing in comprehensive medical care, particularly known for its cystic fibrosis center.
