Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience and a NH or compact RN license. Responsibilities - Position is in an 18-bed Intensive Care Unit - Patient population includes surgical, trauma, neuro, plastics, multiple organ failure, and sepsis cases - Responsible for care of ventilated patients, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, and multiple specialized ICU procedures - Day/night rotation schedule with 36 hours per week - Specialized procedures include ICP monitoring, ventriculostomies, lumbar drains, bolts, EVDs, PA lines, and waveform interpretation - Traveler will assist with line insertion and maintenance, and manage lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients - No local candidates accepted; must live at least 75 miles from the facility - Role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in managing complex ICU patients - Compliance with certification and license requirements must be maintained throughout the assignment - Potential candidates must have two manager references for consideration Requirements - Active NH or compact state RN license required - Current BLS certification required - Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience within the last 2 years required - Strong ICU and critical care experience, including advanced monitoring and management of vasoactive medications - Experience with ICP monitoring and ventilated patients Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-664582.
