Job Description:
Albany Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse II
for our Colorectal Surgery and Urology unit (C2). This role is
pivotal in our mission to deliver top-tier medical solutions and

practice. The ideal candidate will bring clinical expertise, a

professional development. Provide specialized nursing care in the
colorectal and urology units. Assess, plan, and administer patient
care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. Engage in
patient and family education concerning disease processes,
treatment, and discharge planning. Administer medications and
maintain records of patient’s health condition and progress.
Participate in research and continuous quality improvement
initiatives. Assist in the training and mentoring of new staff and
nursing students. Advanced knowledge of colorectal surgery and
urology nursing practices. Proficiency in clinical assessment and
patient management. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
Capable of handling stressful situations with professionalism.
Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance
401k Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
CPR/BLS certification. Certification in Colorectal Nursing or
Urology nursing (preferred but not required).
