POSITION SUMMARY:The Systems Administrator is responsible for the maintenance, configuration and reliable operation of computer systems and servers, both cloud and terrestrial. Installs hardware and software and participates in research and development to continuously improve and keep up with the Technology Services needs of the organization. The Systems Administrator actively resolves problems and issues with computer and cloud server systems to limit work disruptions within the company. At least part of this role will be customer facing due to the size of the team.
Note: Innovive Health has no web servers, no data center, no Linux or UNIX, and we do not develop our own software. You will spend almost no time working with server or rack hardware and instead your time will be focused on O365, Okta, VoIP, InTune, Box Document Management, Azure AD, and Exchange. Our network security is managed by a trusted vendor partner.Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
  • Installs and upgrades computer components and software, manages virtual and cloud servers and integrates automation processes.
  • Troubleshoots hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
  • Provides documentation in the corporate Confluence Wiki and technical specifications to Technology Services staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.
  • Performs or delegates regular backup operations and implements appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, failover procedures, and cloud redundancy.
  • Leads desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
  • Responsible for capacity, storage planning and database performance.
  • Serves as the highest point of escalation for customer tickets.
  • Is customer facing whenever necessary.
  • Performs other activities and duties as deemed necessary.Competencies:

      • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
      • 3-5 years of database, network administration, or system administration experience
      • Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, AWS, Azure or equivalent
      • Strong knowledge of API, SAML, Federation in cloud apps
      • Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
      • Experience with scripting and automation tools such as Powershell
      • Working administration knowledge of VoIP phone systems
      • Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocolsPreferred Education & Experience
        • Advanced degree (MS, MBA) preferred
        • System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus
        • Okta Admin (or other IdP platform)
        • Box Admin
        • Office 365 Admin
        • Deep Active Directory (AD) knowledge
        • InTune Expertise
