MetaSystems Group Inc is currently seeking a full-time Configuration & Technical Support Specialist to join their team in their Boston, MA 02155 location. About the Role: The Configuration & Technical Support Specialist will ensure the seamless building, testing and configuration of all new equipment and refurbishments in a timely manner. This requires excellent coordination between the Sales Team, Application & Support Team & Operations Team. They are responsible for inventory management, system builds, equipment packing and the inspection and testing of hardware related to systems and QMS documentation. They are also responsible for customer troubleshooting (on-site and remote), occasional Preventative Maintenance Visits and user training, as needed. What You'll Do: --- Assemble and configure complex imaging & microscopy systems --- Integrate approved components into SIDS (System Integration Data Sheet), customer data sheets and the company ERP system --- Solve compatibility issues related to heterogeneous microscope configurations and software --- Ensure prompt repair of non-conforming components (internal cases) --- Answer technical customer inquiries by telephone or email and coordinate any component shipments for service cases --- Resolve configuration & compatibility problems, suggest innovative solutions as needed --- Pack and ship components and systems to customers and trade fairs --- Enter and maintain current and accurate systems & customer records in ERP system as required by our QMS associated software (Cases and Device History) --- Coordinate deadlines and deliveries with Operations Team & Applications & Support Team --- Maintain demo system equipment to ensure systems are equipped with current and consistent software and hardware and are functioning per our company specifications and standards --- Provide customer support on-site or through remote access --- Able to perform basic user training on MetaSystems products --- Visit selected customers to perform preventative maintenance on instruments and re-train users, as needed --- Be available for configuration & computer related customer inquiries, complaints, and follow-ups by phone or email --- Support QM programs and certification efforts Our Ideal Candidate: Education and Experience --- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar --- Experience with microscopy or lab environments, a plus --- Experience working in an IT department, Help Desk, or hardware/software configuration, a plus --- Familiarity with regulatory and quality requirements for medical devices Required Skills and Abilities --- Detail-oriented, self-driven team player with little/no tolerance for configuration failures --- Excellent technical understanding of MetaSystems products --- Collegial communication and exemplary organizational skills --- Self-motivated to intensify knowledge, expertise and contribution to team success --- Good technical troubleshooting skills, flexible team player, and quick learner --- Knowledge of Office 365, Microsoft Teams and other business operations software What We Offer: --- Competitive salary based on experience --- Company pays for 100% of benefits --- Cafeteria lunch paid for daily To Apply: Please submit your resume via the "APPLY NOW" button Equal Opportunity Employer
