Job Description:
Job Title: Temporary Office Events Specialist Duration: 3 months
Location: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 remote - flexibility
required), 800 Boylston St, Boston Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
(flexibility required for evening and occasional weekend events)
Compensation: $35-$40/hour (flexible for the right candidate)
Position Overview A leading professional services firm is seeking a
Temporary Office Events Specialist to support the planning and
execution of high-profile internal and client-facing events. This
role requires a detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable
professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys
managing logistics and on-the-ground event coordination. The Events
Specialist will collaborate closely with attorneys, business
development teams, and external vendors to ensure seamless and
impactful event experiences. Key Responsibilities Plan and execute
firm-hosted events including seminars, receptions, dinners, and
webinars-from concept through completion Coordinate event logistics
such as venue selection, contract negotiation, catering,
audiovisual needs, room setup, and guest registration Track event
budgets and manage expenses, ensuring cost-effective planning Serve
as the primary on-site contact during events, overseeing setup,
troubleshooting, and post-event breakdown Communicate key planning
dates and updates to internal stakeholders and manage RSVPs
Collaborate with internal creative and communications teams to
produce branded event materials (e.g., invitations, signage)
Support internal firmwide events and assist with post-event
analysis, feedback, and ROI reporting Qualifications Bachelor's
degree required 3-5 years of event planning experience, ideally
within legal, professional services, or corporate environments
Strong multitasking, organizational, and time-management skills
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across
multiple teams and offices Excellent judgment, attention to detail,
and problem-solving abilities Experience with Microsoft Office
Suite, Zoom, and event registration tools Flexible schedule to
support occasional evening and weekend events High energy,
professionalism, and a positive, team-oriented mindset Demonstrated
project management skills and ability to manage multiple events
