An exciting new opportunity for an Assistant Nurse Manager -PACU -is now available at a 200-bed hospital.This award-winning hospital is nationally recognized for patient safety. This -healthcare -system has been around for over 100 years and is dedicated to patient care. This hospital is also known as being one of the top teaching facilities in the area. This would be a wonderful opportunity to further grow an experienced candidate's career.The Assistant Nurse Manager reports directly to the Nurse Manager. The Assistant Nurse Manager assess needs of staff, provides a comprehensive orientation program, and provides opportunities to meet learning needs. Responsibilities include: providing direct patient care and acts as a clinical role model and participating in management activities such as personnel functions, staffing, budget preparation, and implementation. The Assistant Nurse Manager participates in hospital/unit committees, projects, and conferences and encourages other staff members' participation. This role schedules and delegates nursing responsibilities based on staff abilities and patient acuity providing for optimum patient care 24-hours a day, seven days a week. The Assistant Nurse Manager maintains effective open communication between staff and administration as it relates to patient care and/or changes on the unit. This role is also expected to participate in educational experiences of affiliated schools.This facility is located in a beautiful town outside of Boston.
