worldwide.Join Takeda as a Senior Scientist where you will be part
of a computational team focused on utilizing computational and
systems biology approaches to analyze multi-omics data supporting
Takeda drug discovery and development projects and apply expertise
in bioinformatics, genomics, machine learning and computational
biology to integrate and analyze multiple types of omics data, to
evaluate in vitro and in vivo toxicity and DMPK models, associate
to safety and efficacy characterizations, and generate biomarker
hypotheses.You will also work closely with colleagues from
preclinical and translational science organization, including Drug
Metabolism & Pharmacokinetics, Drug Safety Research & Evaluation,
Genetics and Systems Biology, Quantitative Solutions, and Clinical
Biomarker Innovation & Development. As part of the Computational
Biology team, you will report to the Director Computational
Biology. How you will contribute:
- Collaborate with Takeda colleagues to evaluate and prioritize
in vitro and in vivo models for drug metabolism & Pharmacokinetics
efforts.
- Method development for and evaluation of integrating
multi-types of omics data.
- Identify, build, and use bioinformatic pipelines to QC omics
data types including genomics, transcriptomics (RNAseq, scRNAseq
and spatial transcriptomics), proteomics, and other omics
data.
- Select and apply various computational biology methods based on
project needs, including systems biology, pathway/network analysis,
machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
- Interact closely with biologists to conduct analyses, data
integration and data interpretation.
- Analyze preclinical and clinical data using appropriate
computational and statistical methods.
- Create visualizations, interpret high dimensional data and
explain results to cross-functional teams.
- Plan and coordinate computational biology activities internally
and in partnership with external CROs and academic partners,
including complex projects requiring collaboration with multiple
members of the team and organizations.
- Prepare and present comprehensive scientific reports to a full
range of internal and external audiences.
- Work collaboratively with data scientists and data engineering
groups to enhance our computational infrastructure, user interface,
query and visualization capabilities.
- Writes study reports and presents data effectively in all
settings and with participants of all levels of the organization.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- PhD degree in a scientific discipline, with 3+ years
experience, or
- MS with 9+ years experience, or
- BS with 11+ years experience
- Previous industry experience, preferably with big
pharmaceutical companies and on clinical programs. What Takeda can
