Description
The Department of Psychology at Tufts University is seeking
applicants for a full-time (non-tenure-track) lecturer in
Psychology to begin September 1, 2023. Primary responsibilities
include teaching undergraduate core courses in research methods
and/or statistics, teaching electives in any subfield specialty,
advising undergraduates across our five department majors
(Psychology, Biopsychology, Clinical Psychology, Cognitive & Brain
Science, Engineering Psychology), and departmental service.
This is an academic year, benefitted, non-tenure-track 2-year
position and is renewable contingent upon performance. Lecturers at
Tufts University are unionized
(https://access.tufts.edu/collective-bargaining-agreements) with
the potential for long-term careers with promotional advancement
within the Lecturer ranks.
Qualifications
The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. (or be ABD) in
psychology or a related discipline. Special consideration will be
given to applicants with a demonstrated professional commitment to
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion priorities. Teaching load will be
six courses per year, with opportunities for workload reduction
related to service and advising.
