We invite qualified engineers looking for opportunities to join our team in Renewables Certification.DNV Energy Systems- Renewables Certification (RC) is looking for a Mooring Engineer to join the team.We are increasing our capacity for DNV global Floating Wind Certification and are seeking enthusiastic and motivated floating wind experts with strong engineering skills to strengthen and further develop our floating wind section. Renewables Certification has the global responsibility for Type Certification (TC), Component Certification (CC) and Project Certification (PC) for Renewables within ES. Currently Renewables Certification consists of 250+ experts with locations in Beijing, Boston, Copenhagen, Dresden, Esbjerg, Hamburg, H--vik, London, Busan, Shanghai, Taipei and Yokohama. Renewables Certification -is the global market leader in the Renewables Certification market and is involved in 80% of Project Certification for offshore wind parks including offshore substations in the world.The position -will be located in our Medford, MA or Katy,TX office -Position QualificationsWhat is Required

  • Masters degree in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of professional or PhD experience with mooring analysis of floating structures, preferably wind turbines
  • Be fluent in English language, both verbal and writtenDemonstrated experience in standard global performance and mooring analysis software:
    • Response analysis using e.g. SIMA, HydroD software
    • Stability assessment of floating structures using HydroD, NAPA, or equivalent software tools.
    • Nice to have: Demonstrated understanding and ability to apply fundamental certification and quality concepts, practices, and procedures with minimal or no supervision.Personal qualities
